A: The Webascent System uses a custom software system that we have developed to help automate the building of new sites, the Webascent Generator. This means that the slog of building sites, requiring a lot of expensive technician time, is significantly reduced. We can then devote our web design expertise to creating attractive and well functioning websites.
A: No, on the contrary. It is the ritual part of the process of website building (basically, a lot of repetitive copy and pasting) that is automated. The Webascent System enables us to treat every project according to its individual requirements so that each site can incorporate the design features that means it stands out from the crowd and the professional look and functionality that will impress visitors.
A: Certainly. The Toolbox is designed to resemble the basic word processing programmes with which most people who have ever used a computer are familiar. The image editing function is similarly straightforward, requiring no knowledge of photoshop or any other design-based skills.

A: The Webascent Toolbox is based on the premise that the changes you will usually want to make to your website involve the text and the images and not the fundamental design, structure or functionality of the site. As a result, the Toolbox's User Interface is considerably simpler than most available CMS (Content Management System) products which attempt to enable much more complex manipulation of how the site works. They are therefore not only unwieldy but allow potential for serious damage to the site itself. At the same time, the sophistication of the Toolbox, such as its real-time preview function, makes it a highly efficient tool to keep the content of your website fresh, interesting and up-to-date.
A: There are various strategies that can be used to enhance a website’s popularity with the search engines, and many companies charging exorbitant prices to help with this. It is an area in which to take a lot of care, having shown itself to be prone to offers that are little more than scams. Fundamentally, the most effective (and cheapest) ways to be attractive to the search engines are to ensure the site is completely standards based, to incorporate lots of interesting content that is regularly refreshed, and, if possible, to be linked to from other relevant sites. As explained, all Webascent sites meet the first criterion and the benefits of the system mean that the other two are (relatively) easily fulfilled.
A: When we work with you on the structure of your site part of the process will be to develop and make decisions about the headings for the pages and the content in each of the sections. Once the site is built you will be able to add all the details and personalise the content using the Toolbox, rather than waiting and paying for design agency staff to do this for you. We release the site initially on our own private development server, so that you can spend some time (up to two weeks) working on the site’s content with our support. When it is ready it “goes-live” on your own server, where, of course, you can continue to work on and up-date your content on a regular basis.
A: No, we don't. The reason is that we're not a web hosting or domain registration company. We focus our energies and talents on building our customers the best possible web sites.
Another reason is that it can be dangerous to keep all your eggs in one basket. With your Domain Name, Web Hosting and Web Design/Support separated out to different companies it's much easier to solve problems that might arise. Imagine if your Domain Name, Web Maintenance and Web Hosting were all with the same outfit, and then hosting company problems put the site frequently off-line. If your Domain Name and Hosting are with the same company, you can't simply move the hosting without the cooperation of the existing company. Often a major hassle. But we are happy to help get your Domain Name of choice registered with a reputable Domain Registration Company, and also in finding a quality, low-cost Web Host from which to serve your site.
